Jinming develops smart chips for blow molding machines

2014.08.02
Jinming Precision Machinery (stock code: 300281) recently signed the "Development Contract for Blowing Film Control System Based on Special Chips" with Xi'an Jiaotong University. The two parties will jointly develop a high-intelligence localized blow molding equipment controller starting from a system chip. This is also an industrialization project of the core technology research project of strategic emerging industries in Guangdong Province. It is expected to be trial-produced in 2016 and generate benefits.

According to Jinming, the control system based on the SOC system chip of this project is one of the core technologies in the plastic machine industry at this stage, but this technology is only in the hands of a few developed countries. After the successful research and development of this product, it will break the monopoly of foreign companies on high-end film blowing machines, change the industry's "strong machine and weak power" situation, and increase the profit margin of domestic equipment.

This research project is the industrialization project of the second batch of core technologies of strategic emerging industries in Guangdong Province - "high-performance intelligent multi-layer co-extrusion blow molding equipment". The project will adopt intelligent algorithms based on evolutionary calculation and fuzzy control, combined with the characteristics of blown film equipment control, to realize closed-loop precise control of system position, speed, temperature, pressure and other physical quantities, through parallelization, real-time and minimum resource processing, Using technologies such as on-chip technology, the algorithm is hardened onto a dedicated chip, and finally a dedicated, self-developed system chip that realizes the blown film equipment process is obtained.

my country is currently the largest machinery equipment market in the world. Due to the lack of core technologies such as control systems, my country has a huge trade deficit in the import and export of plastic machinery equipment. In 2013, the number of imported plastic machines in China was 10,052, and the import value was about 1.82 billion US dollars. In 2013, China exported a total of 135,213 plastic machines, with an export value of about 1.72 billion US dollars, and a trade deficit of 100 million US dollars; in 2012, the trade deficit was 510 million yuan. In 2010, the trade deficit reached 900 million US dollars.

In addition, the unit price gap between import and export products can reach 10 times, and among them, the blow molding machine is the product with the lowest average unit price in the export of plastic machines, and it is also the product with the largest average unit price difference between import and export. In 2013, China exported 65,175 blow molding machines, a year-on-year increase of 236%, and the export value was 180.97 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16%. The average export unit price was only US$3,000 per set. Analysts pointed out that this is mainly because most of the exported plastic machine products are OEM or imitation products, which are still at the low end of the value chain of the international industrial division of labor, and the added value is not high. Compared with foreign advanced technology, domestic products have a large gap in the level of precision, miniaturization, large-scale and automatic control.
